Around Again
a 501 (c) non-profit organization
"Working to make waste a resource". Around Again focus is on waste reduction for Clallam County. Over 50% of the ~46,000 tons of our waste send to a landfill in Oregon is construction material and home furnishing. While we are lucky enough to have non-profit organizations that accept dontated household goods, clothes and some building material as a way to fund thier mission objectives of housing and social programs, there is just more stuff than they accept. Around Again exists to lower our waste stream and provide a local resource. Our profits are used to promote reuse and re-purposing of used building material and home furnishings. We do that several ways:
Our retail store:
Located at 22 Gilbert Rd in Seqim our store accepts donated material during operatiing hours Monday-Saturday 10:00am-5:30pm. Donated items are organized and sold at the lowest price possible to keep our doors open and fullfill our mission objectives. To date Around Again has diverted over 54 tons of material back into our local community.
Workshops and classes
Free to anyone we demonstrate ways to re-use or re-purpose items. Here are some examples of classes we have conducted.
Bird baths out of sattelete dishes
hollow core door into everything
cabinet draws into book cases
metal stud workshop
pallet wood building
wine cork animals & wreaths
Google sketchup (to draw out your idea)
Cold frames from old windows
Tool and book library
We have found that sometimes folks have the desire to reuse something but not the tools or instructions. Anyone can come check out a saw, drill, tile saw, hand tools and books on all kinds of stuff.
"Artist in store"
Anyone that builds items for sale out of recycled stuff can sell it in our store without any comission charged by Around Again. We donate the floor space for artists to display their cool items and we collect the money for them.

Toliets, Sequim is experiencing a toliet tidal wave as people move to a taller toliet. We accepted that challenge and with the help our or partner Mike Shaw rock crushing we have crushed tumbled and washed over 500 toliets into "potty pebbles". They can be used for pathways, weed control, pothole repair and drain line filler to name of few uses.
