Why do we focus on #5 plastics?

It’s the most used plastic and the most recyclable plus it's recycled here in the USA.

We throw a lot of plastic away and it ends up in the ocean making huge patches of micro plastic that harm wildlife and the oceans we depend on.

 

Thank you for donating #5  plastics. It’s important that the containers are all #5’s and that they are clean and free of food. Stacking them is great as well.  We must inspect the donated containers to confirm the #5 logo. If we send Gimme 5 a mixed batch they will no longer accept plastics from us.
